Plant Switch

Submit plant switch requests to have CSX place, move or pick up cars.

When you use the ShipCSX Plant Switch tool, you can:

• Send switch requests without having to pick up the phone or create a list to fax.
• View inventory en route, at your CSX serving yard and at your facility.
• Submit, modify or delete requests from the same screen.
• Review your requests before submitting them.
• Receive instant confirmation of requests sent.
• View current or past requests.
• View historical information to control demurrage.
• Download and print information.

This tool is ideal for switching 5 or more cars at a time.

ShipCSX Plant Switch may also be used to submit a General Place Request (Plant General) or Manage Inventory.

Manage Inventory provides the ability to update car locations within an industry, add or delete railcars from a track, and submit switch requests.

Log in to ShipCSX  
Mouse over the "Ship" tab and select "Plant Switch."
