Employment Verification

Only employees can authorize verification of their employment and earnings information to third parties, such as mortgage companies and other lenders or social service agencies. Employee authorizations and verification requests are handled through The Work Number®, an Equifax digital verification service.

Employees: Please review the CSX Employment Verification Guide (available on the CSX Gateway) for information on how to privately and securely provide automated income and employment verifications to help keep your life moving!

Verifiers: If you need employment, salary or social services verification for a CSX employee:

1. Go to The Work Number: www.theworknumber.com, or call 1-800-367-5690.
2. Enter:

• CSX Employer Code: 10009 for earnings during or prior to 10/2018 or 28301 for earnings after 10/2018.
• Employee's Social Security Number
• The salary key provided by the employee
