Irma Update: CSX Restores Operations into Tampa, FL

CSX Transportation engineering crews continue to work 24/7 to restore service from the aftermath of Hurricane Irma.  The network is now operational into Tampa, FL. 

RESTORATION SCHEDULE:

• Tampa, FL to Miami, FL:  Further access into Tampa and Miami is dependent on state rail (Tri Rail), which is not yet able to restore service due to lack of power to road crossings.  Additional progress on this route may be available tomorrow, Friday, September 15th. 
• Okeechobee, FL:  We are running a train for customers into the area tomorrow, Friday, September 15th.
• Jacksonville, FL to Orlando, FL:  The route is still being evaluated with the repair timetable to be determined.  A progress report on this route may be available tomorrow, Friday, September 15th.

Further updates will be provided as impacted lines return to normal operation. In the meantime, CSX representatives are available to customers to discuss alternatives.
