Customer Service Bulletin - Sandy Update

CSX continues to restore service following Sandy, and today lifted embargoes on all traffic to all locations.

The only exceptions are:

Service is resuming slowly, due to continued commercial power outages that affect CSX’s signals, and the inability of some customers to accept shipments. Heavy snow in the higher elevations of West Virginia also is complicating train operations, but that situation is expected to moderate over the next 24 hours.

Customers should continue to expect at least 72 hours of delays on shipments traveling to or through the storm-impacted areas.

Amtrak and commuter agencies on CSX in that region are returning to service, and passengers should check with those agencies on service plans.
