CUSTOMER SERVICE BULLETIN - CSX Mid-Atlantic Storms Cleanup Underway


July 2, 2012 -- CSX crews are making progress on clearing tracks and restoring service after severe storms struck the mid-Atlantic region over the weekend.  All tracks are clear in the Great Lakes, Louisville and Baltimore Divisions; however, widespread commercial power outages remain a challenge. Crews continue to clear trees and debris from tracks in the Huntington division as well as work with commercial power limitations.
 
Overall, more than 4,000 trees have been cleared from the tracks system-wide, and about 500 generators have been deployed. Customers should expect delays of 24-48 hours on shipments through the affected regions.
