CSX Customer Advisory: CSX Monitoring U.S./Mexico Railway Crossing Bridges

CSX is evaluating the potential impact of two additional Mexican border crossing embargoes announced today by Canadian Pacific Kansas City following the suspension of U.S. Customers and Border Protection (CBP) operations due to increased migrant activity. The latest embargos affect all equipment types crossing to and from Mexico at Brownsville and Laredo, Texas.

The CPKC embargos are added to those announced earlier in the week by Union Pacific, BNSF and the Mexican railroad Ferromex for all shipment types crossing to and from Mexico at Eagle Pass and El Paso, Texas. Please refer to our Dec. 19 advisories for additional details about the previous embargo announcements.

We are maintaining continuous communication with other railroads to promptly address any additional changes that may impact our customers’ shipments, and we will provide updates as the situation warrants.
