CSX Customer Advisory: Update on CSX Storm Recovery Progress

Today, severe weather and flooding persist in the forecast from Florida to the Carolinas as a destructive storm system continues moving off the Southeast Coast. Since last Wednesday, this system has brought significant weather impacts, including flash flooding and tornadoes across the CSX network, with the threat shifting into parts of the Southeast on Sunday.

CSX has plans in place to keep shipments moving, though some delays are expected. Key updates include:

Memphis Subdivision (Bruceton, Tenn., to Memphis, Tenn.) and the CC Subdivision (Hemphill, Ky., to Bell County, Ky.): Water has receded, and rail traffic has resumed.
Mainline Subdivision (Nashville, Tenn. to Louisville, Ky.): Conditions worsened overnight as waters rose in the Rolling Fork River. Traffic is being rerouted, and service recovery may take several days.
LH & STL Subdivision (Evansville, Ind. To Louisville, Ky.): Rising water in the Ohio River is being closely monitored as it may pose challenges for train movement.
