CSX Customer Advisory: Tropical Storm Nicole Update

In preparation for Nicole’s anticipated arrival on Florida’s Atlantic coast Wednesday evening, CSX is temporarily suspending rail service, effective immediately, between Miami and Winston, Florida, east of Tampa.

Currently a tropical storm, Nicole is forecast to intensify into a Category 1 hurricane before making landfall and bringing potential flooding in addition to high winds. Hurricane conditions are expected into Thursday morning.

CSX is currently securing railcars and other assets in the anticipated path of the storm and positioning resources to restore operations as quickly as possible when conditions allow. We will continue to monitor the storm closely as it moves across Florida and turns north with potential heavy rains and localized flooding.
