CSX Customer Advisory -- CSX Successfully Restores Florence Mainline


October 10, 2015

CSX has successfully resumed train service on the mainline (A-Line) between Charleston, SC and Florence, SC.   Engineering teams continue to assess the Andrews Subdivision, the mainline between Charleston, SC and Hamlet, NC, as flood conditions improve.
 
Eastover sub:  Columbia, SC to Orangeburg, SC. Several sections of track along this route have experienced washout conditions. Rail service is suspended until CSX engineering can assess damage and restore service. A timeline has not been determined at this time.
 
Georgetown sub:  Remains closed to train service due to continuing washout conditions.  CSX engineering is assessing track conditions.  A timeline to resume service has not been determined at this time.
 
Lane Sub: Lane, SC to Sumter, SC. Normal train operations have resumed.
 
Orangeburg Sub: Sumter, SC to Orangeburg, SC.  Sections of this sub have been restored.  Several washout conditions remain in other sections of this line. Engineering anticipates having this line restored late evening on October 12.  
 
Creston Sub:  Service between Creston, SC to Giant, SC is expected to be restored by Monday, October 12th.
