CSX Customer Advisory - CSX Re-routes West Virginia Rail Traffic

Please be advised that CSX Transportation is experiencing operational delays in West Virginia due to historic levels of flooding and rain.  At least one major line between Clifton Forge, VA and Montgomery, WV on the Allegheny and New River Subdivisions has been impacted by flooding in the area.  Traffic scheduled through this area is being re-routed to alternate CSX routes.  Customers with freight traveling across this line should expect delays into next week.  We will continue to work with customers to provide the latest ETA and routing information to best accommodate requests and minimize delays. 

Further updates will be provided as flood conditions change and CSX recovery crews are able to make infrastructure or equipment repairs necessary to fully restore service.  During this process, the company’s priorities are the safety of employees and meeting the needs of customers.
