CSX Customer Advisory: CSX Preparing for Tropical Storm Elsa

CSX is making preparations for potential impacts from Tropical Storm Elsa, which is expected to bring heavy rain and strong wind gusts to the Florida Gulf Coast later Tuesday and into Wednesday. Tropical storm conditions are likely to continue as the storm tracks across Florida from the Tampa area toward Jacksonville and into southeast Georgia.

The storm’s exact path and impacts remain uncertain, but CSX continues to closely monitor the situation and is taking precautionary measures to protect employees, rail traffic and infrastructure. The company is also prepared to adjust operations and position resources for service restoration, should that become necessary.
