CSX Customer Advisory: CSX Monitoring Tropical Weather Systems

CSX is closely monitoring two storm systems that could impact Florida and the Central Gulf Coast next week. Precautionary measures for protecting employees, rail traffic and infrastructure are being taken should either or both storms threaten our operations.

As of Friday afternoon, Tropical Storm Laura was east of Puerto Rico and moving westerly toward Florida. The National Weather Service advised that Laura could impact Florida early next week. In addition, a tropical depression off the east coast of Central America was moving northward with the possibility of impacting Louisiana and other portions of the Central Gulf Coast next week.

The path and ultimate strength of both systems remain uncertain. CSX will continue to provide updates as needed. Please monitor our Customer Advisories and the Intermodal-specific Real-Time Service Advisories for any operational actions that may become necessary.
