CSX Customer Advisory: CSX Monitoring Tropical Storm Francine

Please be advised that CSX is closely monitoring Tropical Storm Francine, which is expected to strengthen into a hurricane before making landfall along the Louisiana coast later today. The storm is forecast to bring flash flooding, storm surges, and other severe weather conditions as it moves north-northwest, potentially affecting the CSX network.

While no service areas are currently impacted, the Port of New Orleans plans to close its flood gates between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., affecting both local and interchange traffic in the area. Customers with shipments through the CSX Southeast and Southwest regions should anticipate potential delays.

CSX is implementing measures to protect our employees, customers, and communities. Our team is working diligently to ensure minimal service disruptions while maintaining the highest safety standards.
