CSX Customer Advisory – CSX Activates Hurricane Operational Plan

As South Carolina prepares to evacuate the state coastline 100 miles inward in response to the growing threat of Hurricane Matthew, CSX is taking measures to cease operations on the main line from Savannah, GA to Pembroke, NC beginning midday Wednesday October 5. Additionally, service in South Florida will be temporarily halted starting Wednesday morning until further notice. Customers with freight traveling through these areas will experience delays. More updates will be provided as we continue to monitor the trajectory of the hurricane and evaluate additional operational actions as the system advances toward the east coast.
