Upcoming Changes to Supplemental Services

Dear Customer:

We would like to make you aware of upcoming changes to CSX Supplemental Services, beginning July 1, 2012.

In an effort to increase utilization of assets, the rates for storage and demurrage charges will be increasing. The goal of this increase is to create incentive for customers to order cars promptly to their sidings and release them back to CSX as quickly as possible, creating more capacity for car order fulfillment across our merchandise customer base.

Rates for Intra-terminal, Inter-terminal Switching and Special Train Charges also will be increasing.

Demurrage                                  $105 per day           $90 per day
Intra-terminal Switching            $500                         $400
Inter-terminal Switching            $500                      $400
Special Train Charges              $105 per mile         $95 per mile
