Previously customers were alerted about new export requirements for shipments from the United States or Mexico.
The export requirements relative to providing the proof of filing or exemption statement on rail bills of lading have been revised and now only apply to shipments from the United States to Canada.
These export requirements do not apply on shipments from the United States to Mexico, since the process is different and the required proof of filing number or exemption statement will be supplied to the exporting carriers into Mexico by the freight forwarder prior to trains entering Mexico.
Shippers involved in shipments from the United States into Canada need to know about important new regulations on export filing and rail carrier requirements. Learn more now >
