CSXT HDF Fuel Index Rate Adjustment Update for April 1, 2025

Dear CSX Transportation Customer,

Following is the CSX Transportation HDF Fuel Index Rate Adjustment (8661) amount effective April 1, 2025.

CSXT HDF/Mileage Based Fuel Index Rate Adjustment (8661)

The highway diesel fuel/mileage based fuel index rate adjustment is published in CSXT 8661 and applies to all line haul freight rates and charges set forth in contracts, and other pricing documents that reference CSXT Publication 8661 dated on or after April 23, 2007.

The CSXT HDF/mileage based fuel index rate adjustment of 41 cents per mile, which became effective March 1, 2025, will change to 42 cents per mile for shipments having a bill of lading dated on or after April 1, 2025.

Following are the 8661 CSXT HDF/mileage based fuel index rate adjustments:

39 cents per mile effective January 1, 2025
38 cents per mile effective February 1, 2025
41 cents per mile effective March 1, 2025
42 cents per mile effective April 1, 2025

The fuel index rate adjustment (contract rates - 8661) amount is based on the "HDF Average Price" of 367.5 cents per gallon for the calendar month of February 2025. The "HDF Average Price" is on U. S. No. 2 Diesel Retail Sales by All Sellers, as determined and published by the U. S. Department of Energy, Energy Information Administration at www.eia.doe.gov.
