CSX TDSI Sets New Standard in Quality Excellence with Historic Wins at AAR

June 13, 2025 – CSX Total Distribution Services, Inc. (TDSI) achieved groundbreaking milestones at the 132nd Damage Prevention & Freight Claims Conference, where it earned four awards for quality excellence from the Association of American Railroads (AAR).

The event was a historic moment for the AAR, marking two significant firsts. CSX TDSI became the first railroad to earn four top honors in a single year, and it also set a record with three terminals receiving Destination Automotive Quality Excellence awards. Even more impressive, all three terminals achieved outstanding audit scores of 99.96% or higher.

“We’re incredibly proud of how our TDSI team continues to raise the bar for quality and performance,” said Bryce Thomas, general manager of Total Distribution Services, Inc. “These awards are a testament to our shared commitment to excellence, teamwork, and a relentless focus on customer satisfaction.”

Each year, approximately 200 automotive terminals undergo AAR audits, and only the highest-scoring facilities receive awards. TDSI’s performance in 2025 stood out for its high scores and the breadth of recognition across its facilities.

The 2025 Destination Automotive Quality Excellence award winners are:

• New Boston Terminal (Detroit, Michigan)
• Cementdale Terminal (Cincinnati, Ohio)
• Tampa Terminal (Tampa, Florida)

Additionally, TDSI’s Strawberry Terminal in Louisville, Kentucky, earned the Origin Quality Excellence award, further highlighting the company’s operational prowess.

TDSI has built a legacy of excellence, winning accolades in one or both categories for the past nine years. The organization’s success in 2025 extends its history of delivering consistent, industry-leading performance. Previous award-winning destinations include Jackson, Palm Center, East Brookfield, Nashville, and others, while origin terminals such as Strawberry and Talladega in Alabama have also excelled in maintaining high standards.

The AAR awards distinguish CSX TDSI as a leader in automotive logistics, setting benchmarks for quality across the industry. With a proven track record, the organization is positioned to expand its success in the years ahead.

Congratulations to the entire TDSI team for this extraordinary achievement!
