Working ahead of schedule, CSX Transportation plans to re-open the Memphis-Nashville line at 6 p.m. EDT Tuesday, May 25. Maintenance work as a result of significant flooding earlier this month will continue during daytime hours, 7 a.m.-5 p.m. EDT. Trains will operate over the line from 5 p.m. to 7 a.m. Because the line is not yet fully available for 24-hour operations, some re-routes over other carriers will continue until all work is complete. The re-opening includes two bridges that were damaged.
