A derailment at Rosedale, Md., is affecting rail freight traffic in the area and could cause delays of up to 24-36 hours for shipments over that route. Some freight is being re-routed where possible.

The National Transportation Safety Board is conducting an investigation into yesterday’s derailment that occurred following a collision between a truck and the train. The driver was injured and is hospitalized.

Track materials have been staged for repairs, which will begin once the NTSB releases the tracks to CSX.
