CUSTOMER SERVICE BULLETIN - CSX Updates Actions in Response to CP Strike

May 23, 2012 – CSX continues to closely monitor the work stoppage that occurred early today on the Canadian Pacific Railway (CP), which is affecting its Canadian operations.

At this time, CP has embargoed rail traffic moving to its Canadian destinations. While this embargo is in effect, CSX customers will be unable to bill rail cars to Canada if CP is in the route.

To avoid potential congestion at interchange points and other terminals, CSX plans to gather and stage cars already destined for CP’s Canadian locations at certain points on our network. Once the embargo is lifted, these cars will move in larger blocks to the interchanges.
