Customer Service Advisory - Some Progress Made, but Another Winter Storm in the North

A brief break in the harsh winter weather in the North has allowed CSX Transportation to make progress over the past week in improving fluidity and reducing the backlog of traffic following multiple storms. However, temperatures are again falling and another winter storm is bearing down on the northern region this weekend.

All special actions taken by the CSX Operations team remain in place, including the deployment of personnel and locomotives to the most affected areas, and continued coordination with other railroads to keep major interchanges flowing. All employees are dedicated to doing all they can  to serve our valuable customers through this difficult period.

Full recovery will take time as the weather slowly moderates, and CSX will continue all efforts to overcome these storms.
