CSX Transportation is experiencing heavy congestion at its Selkirk, N.Y., terminal and on nearby lines. Surges in traffic over the last few days, compounded by a derailment in the yard earlier this week, have affected fluidity in the area. Additional resources and personnel have been deployed to support efforts to reduce congestion as quickly as possible, and some traffic is being routed around Selkirk.

Customers should expect delays to shipments through the Selkirk area.
