CSX Transportation’s bridge over the New River in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., is temporarily out of service due to a problem in the mechanism that lifts and lowers the span. Repairs are under way, and the bridge is expected to re-open late Friday or Saturday. Service to South Florida customers is suspended but will resume as soon as the bridge is operational.
