CSX Transportation received only minimal impacts from Hurricane Arthur as it passed eastern North Carolina late last night and early today. All employees came through the storm safely, and locomotives and rail cars were returning to the Wilmington, N.C., area. Local service is resuming and operations should be back to normal by Saturday. Customers with traffic in eastern North Carolina and other Mid-Atlantic regions should expect some delays until traffic resumes at its normal pace.

Arthur was moving back into the Atlantic Ocean and is no longer forecast to impact the CSX network, though its path and intensity continue to be monitored.
