CSX is monitoring Hurricane Irene closely. We have operational plans and procedures in place to protect our system and to quickly recover should the storm impact our service territory.

We are planning local service curtailments in some areas of coastal North Carolina and coastal Virginia as necessary. We will continue to monitor Irene this evening and update this information as more is known about the storm’s path and expected landfalls.
