CSX Service Bulletin - CSX Tracks Blocked by Derailment

April 8, 2012 – Both mainlines at Gary, Indiana, are blocked by a derailment that occurred this morning. The cause is under investigation. Equipment and personnel are on site to begin clearing the derailment and repairing tracks.

Delays of approximately 24-48 hours are likely for some shipments over these lines. In the meantime, some traffic will be re-routed.

The company’s Customer Service Center is coordinating with affected shippers and receivers. Customers should contact the Customer Service Center via ShipCSX’s Problem Resolution tool or by calling 1-877-SHIPCSX, prompts 5, then 6.
