Tropical Storm Bonnie is moving across the southern tip of Florida and into the Gulf of Mexico, and is expected to move onto land again near New Orleans, La., sometime Sunday.

In anticipation of the storm, the City of New Orleans Levy Board will be closing the flood gates around New Orleans at approximately noon on Saturday and will not re-open them until the storm has passed.

CSX will be unable to operate trains to or from New Orleans during this time. We are making preparations now for this service curtailment and will resume normal operations as soon as it is safe and feasible.
