CSX Customer Advisory - Winter Storm Update

March 7, 2015

As winter storms continue to sweep across the Eastern half of the United States, customers should anticipate delays. Operations are affected in the Mid-Atlantic, Southeast and Northeast regions where snow, ice and sub-freezing temperatures have occurred. Impacted areas extend south into Kentucky and Tennessee, where heavy rain and ice have necessitated slower operations or holding trains for safety. CSX is working to move trains safely in these winter storm conditions, and coordinating with customers to meet their needs. When necessary, trains are holding at yard locations until tracks have been cleared for operation. In heavily impacted areas including Boston, Buffalo, and Selkirk, CSX has deployed additional senior management and engineering forces to help expedite shipments as possible. Additional locomotives have been repositioned to the Northeast to speed recovery. CSX will resume normal operations as conditions ease and shipments can be received at destinations.
