CSX Customer Advisory: Hurricane Milton Recovery Update
October 11, 2024
CSX is diligently working on service recovery efforts in the wake of Hurricane Milton. Our team is actively engaged in clearing tracks, inspecting signals and crossings, installing generators, and performing necessary repairs in affected areas. We are committed to rerouting traffic as needed to meet your needs and restoring full service as swiftly and safely as possible. However, temporary delays should be expected in some areas.
The Brooksville, Clearwater, Achan, Brewster, and Bone Valley Subdivisions are cleared and ready to resume operations once commercial power is restored.
We anticipate the reopening of the Vitis Subdivision tonight, which will provide a route between Jacksonville and Winston. Additionally, the CFRC will reopen tonight, facilitating routes from Jacksonville to Orlando and Winter Haven.
The Auburndale route to Palm Center and Miami, along with the Yeoman route from Jacksonville to Tampa, are expected to reopen on Sunday.
Efforts continue to resolve a washout on the Carters Subdivision, with our team actively working to ensure the area is back in service promptly.
We will provide updates as necessary. Please continue to monitor our CSX Customer Advisories and Intermodal-specific Real-Time Service Advisories for the latest information. Additionally, notify your CSX contact of any changes in your local service needs due to the impacts of the storm.
