CSX is monitoring Tropical Depression Nine, which has formed in the Caribbean Sea. The weather system is forecast to evolve into a tropical storm later today and grow into hurricane strength by early next week – tracking anywhere from the eastern Gulf of Mexico to the Florida Peninsula. Although the path of the storm remains uncertain, CSX is prepared to implement precautionary measures and adjust operations to protect employees, rail traffic and infrastructure.
