To coincide with the reopening of the Howard Street Tunnel in Baltimore, CSX will be realigning our I-95 corridor service, effective September 26. This realignment will affect traffic moving between Florida and the Northeast and applies to all equipment types unless otherwise noted.

While the Howard Street Tunnel project will be complete in September 2025, related bridge clearance projects north of the tunnel are ongoing and expected to be finished by March 2026.

Once all projects are complete, CSX will achieve full double-stack clearance across our entire intermodal network. This enhancement will significantly increase capacity and create the most direct double-stack routing available between the West Coast/Chicago and Baltimore, improving efficiency and service reliability.
