During the Independence Day holiday, CSX is giving one day of demurrage relief. All merchandise traffic covered by the CSXT 8100 Tariff will be allowed one additional unloading credit provided for July 4, 2009. This demurrage relief will be reflected in the billing statements.
Holiday Reminders
- Those customers shipping by truck during the holiday, should consider shipping more by rail to take advantage of this demurrage offer.
- CSX will have limited service Saturday, July 4, through Sunday, July 5, in observance of the July 4 holiday. CSX will resume full operations on Monday, July 6.
- Customers should place their car orders as early as possible in advance of the holiday -- three weeks out is ideal.
