Cressie Brown named VP-Service Design and Advanced Technology

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - April 28, 2010 - Cressie Brown, a 22-year veteran, has been named CSX Transportation's Vice President-Service Design and Advanced Technology, reporting to David Brown, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. The appointment is effective immediately.

Cressie Brown succeeds Alan Blumenfeld, who is retiring. "Alan made an incredible contribution to CSXT during his career," said David Brown. "His leadership has made a difference in the strategic direction of our company and assisted in building a solid foundation for future improvement and growth. We wish him all the best as he moves forward."

Cressie Brown, most recently Assistant Vice President-Customer Service Operations, has served in leadership roles in Service Design with emphasis on analysis and budgets related to passenger service and facilities shared with other railroads. Her new responsibilities will include service planning, operations research, network planning and joint facilities, and advanced engineering.

Susan Arko has been named Assistant Vice President-Customer Service Operations, succeeding Cressie Brown. Arko will report to Cindy Sanborn, Vice President and Chief Transportation Officer.
