June 24, 2022 – CSX has again been recognized by Inbound Logistics magazine as a global leader in developing and implementing sustainable and environmentally friendly operating practices.

Inbound Logistics named CSX to its 2022 list of 75 Green Supply Chain Partners, known as the G75, in recognition of the honorees’ contributions to a more sustainable global supply chain. The magazine’s editors select companies that “go above and beyond to ensure their global supply chains are sustainable and that their operations are socially and environmentally friendly.” 

The G75 recognition is one of many earned by CSX, which continues to extend and promote the sustainability advantages of rail in customers’ efforts to reduce their carbon footprint. In 2021, CSX was recognized by multiple environmental, industry and business leadership organizations for its strong environmental performance. It was the only U.S. railroad included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index for the 11^th consecutive year and the top U.S.-based Class I railroad in CDP’s 2021 climate leadership ranking for the ninth year running.

After achieving its 2020 environmental targets ahead of schedule, CSX introduced a new set of science-based 2030 goals that included reducing greenhouse gas emissions intensity by 37.3% against a 2014 baseline. In 2021, the company’s progress reached a 15.6% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions intensity, on track to achieving the 2030 goal.
