JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – May 25, 2018 – CSX Corporation (NASDAQ: CSX) today announced it has selected DEKRA, Inc. to perform a comprehensive safety assessment. This assessment is a key component of CSX’s intensified focus on improving safety performance for its employees, customers and the communities in which it operates.

DEKRA is a global leading, safety consulting firm that has provided assessment support to more than 2,600 organizations worldwide. It was chosen based on the firm’s overall methodology and broad experience in transportation and other industries, after an extensive evaluation of a dozen other leading safety consultants. DEKRA’s safety assessment of CSX will begin in June and is expected to be complete this fall.
