December 26, 2022 - CSX Police partnered once again this year with the First Responders Children’s Foundation (FRCF) on the organization’s annual Toy Express drive, which provides gifts to the children of first responders, most of whom have lost a parent in the line of duty. 

The national holiday program delivers toys to children in cities across the United States. This year’s Toy Express also made special deliveries in Lee, Sarasota and Charlotte counties in Florida, where Hurricane Ian created enormous challenges for first responder families and the communities they serve.

CSX Police special agents led the way among law enforcement volunteers who contributed to the Toy Express program’s success by reaching out to eligible families and making deliveries. Supporting the program in their local service territories across the CSX network, the CSX agents generated 68 Toy Express requests, which represented more than half of the program’s deliveries in 2022.

In addition to being a corporate sponsor of the Toy Express program, CSX partners with FRCF throughout the year on projects supported through the CSX Pride in Service community investment initiative.
