Military Groups Recognize CSX as a Top Veteran-friendly Employer

November 11, 2022 – CSX’s commitment to recruiting military veterans and providing a supportive work environment continues to earn recognition for the company as one of the nation’s top employers of men and women who have served in the nation’s armed forces.

The company recently was named a Top Veteran-Friendly Company by U.S. Veterans Magazine, a bronze-rated employer by Military-Friendly® Companies and a Best for Vets employer by Military Times magazine.

The organizations use extensive fact-finding and surveys to arrive at data-driven rankings of the nation’s top employers for veterans. The rankings are useful for veterans who are transitioning from military service as well as for those seeking career moves with companies that value their military service and offer a variety of support.

In addition to having a large number of veterans in its workforce, CSX creates a veteran-friendly environment through its career-development programs; through its Pride in Service community investment initiative, which supports the military community and first responders; and through its Military Business Resource Group, which enables veterans to connect and share their insights, challenges and successes.

CSX also supports employees who continue to serve in the National Guard and Reserves by ensuring they are able to perform their service without impacting their compensation, and the company participates in programs that help veterans successfully transition to private industry.

“CSX is honored that our company has been recognized by multiple veterans’ organizations as one of the best places to work for former and current members of the military. The true win is our amazing team of employees,” said Diana Sorfleet, CSX executive vice president and chief administrative officer. “Veterans fill important roles all across the company. Their commitment, work ethic, and teamwork sets an example for all of us and helps elevate every aspect of our daily operations.”
