Some folks say “railroading is an outdoor sport” – and we agree that it’s important to be fit and alert in order to stay safe and provide the best customer service in your job at CSX. In the workplace, it’s important that we work to prevent any health related incidents and create a healthy environment where we can all succeed.
- CSX’s Warm-Up & Stretching Program provides educational training for employees on proper ways to get ready for daily physical job tasks. These warm-ups are integrated into the start of many work shifts.
- The Heat Illness Prevention program educates employees on proper ways to prevent, identify and treat heat-related illnesses. This is especially important in the summer and Southern area of CSX’s network.
- Medical Emergency Response Training is available and encouraged for CSX employees, focused on CPR and AED Programs. CSX works with Emergency University to provide online and in-person trainings for employees to stay prepared and certified on how to help each other in the case of an emergency.
