Mr. Eliasson is executive vice president and chief sales and marketing officer. In this capacity, he directs all customer-facing aspects of the company’s business, including market growth, forecasting business trends, and development of strategic plans for revenue growth.
Previously, Eliasson was executive vice president and chief financial officer. In that role since 2012, he was responsible for all financial and economic analysis, strategic planning, enterprise risk management and insurance, as well as accounting, tax, treasury and investor relations activities. He was named chief sales and marketing officer in September 2015.
Mr. Lonegro was appointed executive vice president and chief financial officer in September 2015. He directs all financial aspects of the company’s business, including financial and economic analysis, strategic planning, as well as accounting, tax, treasury, investor relations and purchasing activities.
Prior to being named chief financial officer, Lonegro was vice president of service design, where he led work to integrate operational capabilities with customer and market needs. In his more than 15 years with CSX, Mr. Lonegro has served in leadership roles that included technology, mechanical and internal audit.
Ms. Sanborn was appointed executive vice president and chief operating officer in September 2015, following her appointment as executive vice president-operations in February of the same year. She brings more than 25 years of operations experience and is responsible for all transportation, mechanical and engineering functions that combine to deliver safe, reliable and cost-effective service.
Under Ms. Sanborn’s leadership, CSX has produced significant advancements in safety, customer service and productivity. Her career also includes other key senior leadership roles in operations. Prior to becoming chief transportation officer, she served as the company’s vice president of operations for the northern region. In addition, she has held various leadership roles in network operations, locomotive management, and division operations. Ms. Sanborn joined CSX in 1987.
Mr. Wallace joined CSX as executive vice president of corporate affairs and chief of staff to the CEO in spring 2017. Prior to joining CSX, he served as the chief of staff and vice president of corporate affairs at Canadian Pacific Railway Limited, a role he was appointed to in September 2012. While at Canadian Pacific, Mr. Wallace was responsible for the corporate communications and public affairs, investor relations, facilities and real estate functions as well as overseeing the efficient operations within the president and chief executive officer’s office.
Prior to his time at Canadian Pacific, Mr. Wallace spent more than 15 years in various senior management positions with Canadian National Railway Company. At CN, he led the public affairs function in both Canada and the U.S., and prior to that, he was the chief of staff in the office of the president and chief executive officer.
Ms. Fitzsimmons is executive vice president of law and public affairs, general counsel and corporate secretary of CSX Corporation. In this role she directs the company’s legal affairs, government relations, corporate communications, security, environmental, audit, and corporate social responsibilities functions.
Ms. Fitzsimmons joined CSX in 1991 and was named corporate general counsel in 1997. She assumed her current role in 2003, which includes responsibility for all legal and public-facing matters at CSX. In this role, Ms. Fitzsimmons has focused on maintaining high standards of ethics and compliance and pursuing reform of the civil justice system.
