CSX Short Line Committee

In 1996, CSXT established a committee of short lines that is known today as the Short Line Committee (SLC). The objective of this committee has evolved over time, and today it is driven by the following:

Mission statement: Facilitate a collaborative partnership between short lines and CSX focused on growth, operating efficiencies, and communication.
Focus: Today’s SLC is focused on ways to maximize lead generation, improve speed to market, and increase communications with the broader short line community.

The SLC is comprised of 8 short line members and representatives of CSXT’s broader team that regularly interacts with our short lines. The committee meets three to four times per year, or as necessary, to accomplish current objectives. Members serve a 2-year term once appointed by CSXT.
