“We know strong infrastructure is a key ingredient to a thriving economy. That’s how the United States became the best place in the world to do business."
- President Barack Obama, July 25, 2013
An increasingly efficient rail freight network is imperative to meet the needs of an expanding population, support national economic growth and improve America’s ability to compete in the global economy. That’s why we constantly reinvest in the safety, reliability and efficiency of our freight network – including more than $21 billion of private CSX funds since 2003 – to benefit our customers, our employees, and the communities we serve.
CSX is working closely with the states and communities along our routes to invest in the projects that make our tracks and employees safer, reduce the freight industry’s impact on the environment, and help us deliver the best possible service to our customers. Continued cooperation and collaboration is the hallmark of our cutting-edge transportation network.
