Investment Projects

“Oak” and “Market” Improvements (Bronx)

  • This project will upgrade the crossovers, rebuild track and increase clearances at the east and west ends of CSX’s busy Oak Point Yard in the Bronx, improving the yard’s ability to receive and process trains. The project is fully funded by Port Authority of NY/NJ, with funds administered through the New York State DOT.

CSX and the New York Community

  • In partnership with state and local economic development agencies, New York businesses invested more than $440,000 in new or expanded rail-served facilities on CSX or its connecting regional and short lines in 2015. These investments will generate new jobs at those businesses.
  • In 2015, CSX contributed more than $603,000 to organizations in New York, including Friends of the High Line, Roswell Park Alliance Foundation, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, FAN4Kids, and New York Operation Lifesaver.
