Operates and maintains nearly
2,600 miles of track.*

2.9 million carloads
of freight on the state's rail network.

  Throughout 2015, CSX reported more than

CSX and the Indiana Community

  • In partnership with state and local economic development agencies, Indiana businesses invested nearly $60.9 million in new or expanded rail-served facilities on CSX or its connecting regional and short lines in 2015. These investments will generate 70 new jobs at those businesses.
  • CSX has designated the INland Logistics Port in Kingsbury as a “Select Site,” which is a rail-served, ready-to-build location for industrial development and expansion. The “Select Site” program is part of CSX’s network-wide economic development initiative.
  • In 2015, CSX contributed nearly $1.3 million to organizations in Indiana, including the FFA Foundation, Boys & Girls Club of Montgomery County, Operation Lifesaver of Indiana, and Tri-State Food Bank.
