Brief factual description of incident: CSX is working with first responders and relief agencies in Maryville, Tenn., following the derailment of a tank car that is on fire. CSX personnel are on hand at an Outreach Center that has been established at Heritage High School. Displaced residents are being offered assistance, including lodging.


Community Outreach Center

CSX has opened a Community Outreach Center in Maryville, TN to assist evacuated residents in finding lodging and any necessary emergency response. Several CSX representatives are available to meet with the impacted residents to discuss their needs. Food and refreshments will also be available for impacted residents and first responders. The Community Outreach Center will remain open for 24 hours until further notice.
