CSX's Logan Rose Recognized Among Railway Track & Structures Magazine's Top 10 Under 40 Engineers

April 21, 2025 – CSX Track Supervisor Logan Rose has been named one of Railway Track & Structures magazine’s Top 10 Under 40 Engineers, an honor recognizing his leadership, technical expertise, and commitment to advancing the rail industry.

Rose joined CSX in 2021 as a union-covered engineering employee before being promoted to management as a track supervisor in 2023. With just four years in the rail industry, his contributions have already made a substantial impact, particularly in CSX's Nashville region. Rose played a pivotal role in planning and executing major initiatives such as the Chattanooga Subdivision's month-long Mega Block project, a complex undertaking that required precise scheduling, efficient resource allocation, and collaboration across teams.

Rose’s leadership style centers on collaboration and mentorship. Frequently sought out to coach union employees and peers alike, he has built a reputation as a servant leader who values input from his team and inspires trust. Known for balancing empathy with decisive action, he has guided teams through high-pressure scenarios with precision and professionalism.

Community involvement is also an important part of Rose’s life. He is a dedicated advocate in the fight against multiple sclerosis (MS), actively participating in charity walks, bike rides, and fundraising initiatives. His efforts have raised significant funds for MS research and provided support for individuals and families affected by the disease.

Much of Rose’s success stems from his drive for continuous improvement. With a bachelor’s degree in business finance from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, he is committed to expanding his technical expertise and tackling ambitious engineering challenges. His long-term goals are centered on mastering advanced railway systems and driving industry advancements through innovative solutions.

Railway Track & Structures magazine highlighted Rose’s contributions, emphasizing his commitment to operational excellence and his ability to overcome challenges. The publication noted that railroad engineering is not for the faint of heart, requiring professionals to perform under demanding conditions while addressing the nation’s transportation needs. Rose’s accomplishments demonstrate that he is not only meeting these expectations but also setting a high standard for others in the industry.

CSX congratulates Rose on this well-deserved honor and looks forward to his continued contributions to the railroad industry.
