September 22, 2023 - The 32nd annual CSX Short Line Conference was held Sept. 6-8 in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., attracting a record turnout of 350 participants. The conference hosted by CSX served as a platform for the company and its 240 short line and regional railroad partners to discuss collaborative operations and explore avenues for growth.
The event featured executive speakers, including CSX President and CEO Joe Hinrichs, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer Kevin Boone, and Senior Vice President of Network Operations and Service Design Casey Albright. Bascome Majors from Susquehanna International Group also shared his industry expertise as a guest speaker.
Participants had the opportunity to attend market breakout sessions led by six CSX business units, interact with 20 different CSX departments at a trade show, and engage in speed networking sessions with CSX and short line representatives.
The conference was hailed as productive and informative, with Tom Tisa, CSX head of Business Development, emphasizing the importance of the event in nurturing relationships that facilitate business growth.
