CSX Short Line Conference 2024: Partnership in Motion

October 9, 2024 - The 33rd annual CSX Short Line Conference held Sept. 16-17 in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., showcased the strength and potential of the partnerships between CSX and its short line and regional railroad partners. The event, attended by over 200 participants, was a testament to the enduring relationships and shared growth opportunities that define this critical network.

CSX serves thousands of facilities through track connections to short line partners. The company’s annual conference provides an opportunity for CSX to engage on how it can better support these important relationships.

Keynote speakers, including CSX's Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Mike Cory, Vice President of Business Development and Real Estate Christina Bottomley, and General Manager of the Southeast Region Mark Mayo, emphasized the pivotal role of collaboration in advancing mutual objectives. Their messages resonated with attendees, highlighting the collective goal to better serve shared customers through strategic partnerships.

The conference was rich with activities that fostered engagement and innovation. Attendees were inspired by a keynote address from author and motivational speaker Jon Gordon. The event also featured dynamic market breakout sessions led by eight CSX business units, a comprehensive trade show with over 20 CSX departments, and speed networking sessions allowing Short Lines to connect directly with CSX Market Managers.
