CSX Recognized as a 2024 Leader in Sustainable Practices by Inbound Logistics

June 13, 2024 — Inbound Logistics magazine has named CSX to its 2024 list of 75 Green Supply Chain Partners, known as the G75, recognizing “supply chain visionaries who have come full circle by demonstrating their commitment to sustainability every day in every way.”

Inbound Logistics’ G75 list highlights companies that demonstrate exceptional commitment to green logistics and supply chain sustainability. CSX's inclusion on the list comes as a result of company initiatives that have reduced carbon emissions, enhanced fuel efficiency, and promoted eco-friendly practices throughout its operations.

CSX’s sustainability strategy combines technology and operational initiatives aimed at minimizing environmental impact. The railroad has invested in fuel-efficient locomotives, adopted sustainable rail yard operations, and helped customers reduce their emissions by moving more of their transportation from truck to rail. CSX continues to innovate for carbon reduction and sustainability, unveiling its first hydrogen fuel cell locomotive this year.
