Robert (Bob) J. Frulla Jr.
Senior Vice President of Operations East
Bob Frulla is Senior Vice President of Operations-East Region, with responsibility for oversight and coordination of transportation, mechanical, engineering, safety and various support functions across the region, as well as leadership of Coal Operations network wide.
Previously, Frulla served as Senior Vice President and Vice President of Network Operations, overseeing service design, customer service, passenger operations and positive train control. Prior to these roles, he was Vice President of Regional Transportation for the Northern Region.
Frulla has extensive field and headquarters experience, including roles as a Division Manager in several locations such as Jacksonville, Fla., Huntington, W. Va. and Atlanta, Ga. As a Division Manager he grew CSX’s presence in key geographies.
Frulla has worked with CSX for more than 27 years, beginning as a management trainee in Jacksonville, Fla. With increasing responsibility, he has demonstrated a keen understanding of the needs of CSX’s customers and the communities it serves.
Frulla earned a bachelor’s degree in the arts from Virginia Tech.
